Rare earth weekly roundup – Market generally holds steady, major supplier again lifts prices
BEIJING (Metal-Pages) 29-Apr-11.  Prices for many rare earth products have been holding relatively steady during the past week, such as praseodymium/neodymium, cerium, dysprosium and lanthanum. And downstream consumer buying is reported to be quiet as consumers need more time to adapt to increased prices.   However, sources reported that the major rare earth producer, Baotou Steel Rare Earth, has again raised its listed prices for praseodymium/neodymium, lanthanum and cerium, and market sources predicted that the move might again encourage bullish market sentiment in the near future associated a further increase in prices.   In southern markets, suppliers have been holding on to stocks of europium and terbium oxides in anticipation of higher prices and buyers ...
